Jack and Jill of America, Inc. endeavors to be the premier
family organization in America focused on youth leadership
and development. As National Vice President, I welcome
you on behalf of the National Executive Board as new
members of our wonderful organization.
The following presentation for New Member Orientation
Workshop Two is intended to provide our newest members
with information that will enhance your understanding of J&J
financial considerations and programming initiatives. It is
also intended to provide a foundation to ensure your tenure
in J&J will be fulfilling, valuable and rewarding.

The J&J National Fitness Day
will be a nationwide event
where every chapter across
the country participates in a
fun and exciting fitness
extravaganza where our
families and the communities

participate in an athletic
event (i.e. 1K Family Fun Run,
Race for the Cure, ) and
include our community
partners and youth in our
day of fitness!
As MEMBERS, we will

Member Financial
Responsibilities
• Every Jack and Jill of America, Inc. member is empowered to
ensure all financial matters are in accordance with our
governing documents.
• It is important that our financial governing documents are
communicated and distributed such that each member
comprehends the requirements binding on the financial
officers.
• All members have a fiduciary responsibility to ensure the
elected officers abide by standard operating procedures
outlined in the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Financial
Handbook. (Handbook is on the member portal of the J&J website)
Officer
Financial Responsibility
Elected Officers have a fiduciary responsibility to the members to
account for all funds collected and distributed on their behalf of
the organization and in accordance with their approved budget.

Financial governance is established in the following
documents:
• Jack and Jill of America, Inc. National Bylaws
• Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Financial Handbook

• Jack and Jill of America, Inc is recognized as a 501 (c) 4 tax
exempt organization
• Contributions to Jack and Jill of America, Inc. are not
deductible.
