PRESENT SIMPLE
-Use
the present simple for things
you do everyday/ week/year for
things which are generally true or
always happen.
“I usually work at home” “Sally lives
near here” “In Autumn leaves fall
from trees”
-Use “don't/doesn't to make negative
sentences, and do/does to make
questions.
“Does Sally like jazz? Do you eat
cheese? It doesn't often rain here.
They don't speak Japanese.
PRESENT SIMPLE
1.-Use
the present simple with
adverbs of frequency (always,
usually, often, sometimes,hardly
ever, never).They go before the
main verb.
Eg. She always misses the bus.
She doesn't usually study at
weekends.
2.-Adverbs
of frequency go after
the verb to be. Remember to
use a +verb with “never”.
“She's never ill”. It never rains.
“He's always late for work”.
PRESENT SIMPLE
3.-Expressions
of frequency (every
day, every month, once a day,once
a week, twice a day, twice a year)
usually go at the end of a sentence.
Eg. “He gets up very early every
day”“He studies maths twice a
week”
4.-Once(una
