Game will be 2(10) minute halfs. • Open concession stand • All coaches receive 2 free items and drink • There will be a free raffle give away for coaches Concession Stand Help • We need volunteers to signup for 1.5 hr shifts • Please signup for multiple shifts if willing • Will fill in any open slots by making phone calls to people who signed up during registration. What Is the Kids Zone? • Three parts – Field signs – Kids zone buttons – Pledge What’s the Goal of the Kids Zone? Keeping Soccer FUN! • Set a good example • Be generous with your praise • No “soccer demons” Parents…keeping It FUN! • Your child wants to have fun • Your child is playing the game, not you • Don’t pressure your child to win games • Encourage kids to play just for the fun of playing Regional Coach Administrator • Parents, Don’t coach from the sideline Coaches are Volunteers • Help the coach Other info for parents • Make sure no toe cleats • Shin guards go under the socks and must be totally covered Coach training • • • • Free Stimulating Better coaching Makes the game more fun Online training • • • • • Safe haven U6 U8 U10 Referee – Additional Companion Course Required 4/20/2013 Field Information • Fields in use this year – MET Life – UPJ Fields (below (North of) the MET Life Fields) – U12 will use field farthest from the lower shed along Schoolhouse Road – U14/U19 will be use field closest to lower shed Coaches Meeting • Immediately after dismissal from this meeting the coaches will meet their players and pass out uniforms. Regional Referee Administrator We need YOUR help! Canceled Games • A certified referee is REQUIRED for U8 and UP! – Coaches please understand • NO ref = NO game • Coaches - don’t take on the financial liability for any injuries by playing without a ref! We Have a Problem! • ~350 children in Richland AYSO Spring – Over 200 families • Approximately 250 games scheduled for Spring 2013 season • We would like coaches to try to recruit one person to ref per team in U8 and UP. • Courses provided to give you the knowledge and skills – At NO cost to regional members -Referee Manual -Training Videos -Role Play -On-going Support! Dates for Referee Training • Richland AYSO course at Mt Calvary Church – Basic Referee Online Companion Course • • • • Saturday, April 20th, 9:00AM Please complete Online referee training and safe haven training. Online Training available at http://www.aysotraining.org/ Please print and bring both certificates to the Companion Course. What would you do? • You are volunteering your time to ref • A parent sitting on the sideline is yelling at you? Incentives • Ref shirts • Certificate – Community service • Meets mandatory requirements at some schools Regional Safety Director • Everyone must work to keep soccer safe.
