Advancement of Roadside Technologies
• I-95 Express Lanes (29 miles) will open in early 2015
• I-66 Active Traffic Management (ATM) system will be
operational in early 2015
• I-77 Fancy Gap Mountain will have an Active Traffic and
Safety Management System with Variable Speed Limits by
the end of 2015
• Existing Connected Vehicle test bed in Northern Virginia
will be expanded further west on I-66
• New funding in six year program for deployment of CCTV
cameras and DMS on key interstate routes
• Continued expansion of fiber optic resource sharing routes
