Facts about the Games
• Sochi is in Russia
• The Olympic Games will consist of 15 different
disciplines over 7 sports
• The Paralympics will hold events in 5 sports
• There will be 25,000 volunteers working at the
Games
• Scots currently make up half of Team GB
including the whole of the curling teams

• We have a number of Scots
on Team GB and more will be
selected running up to the
Games.
• The whole of the curling teams
are made up of Scots – you
might recognise Eve Muirhead
who is hoping for a medal at
the Games with her team.
