MUSIC as a E detector
Si detector:
Merit:good energy resolution
Provided by Deqing Fang
Defect:low counting rate(~103),limited lifetime,limited detective
area。
Ionization chamber: MUSIC(Multiple-sampling ionization chamber)/TEGIC(tilted
electrode gas ionization chamber)
Characteristic:good energy resolution(similar with Si),high counting
rate(~106),large detective area (eg. 20cm)。
Counting rate dependence of Z-resolution
Ion Chamber used in 23Al exp@RIPS
TOF (ns) vs. E (MeV) by Ion Chamber
@Day-Two exp. of BigRIPS
Ion chamber (IC) has been widely used as E detectors on RI beam lines
worldwide, e.g. RIKEN, GSI etc. Development of IC on RIBLL will improve the
experimental power of the facility.

RIBLL VME DAQ SYSTEM
完全基于标准C++和ROOT,可移植
性好,易于维护。可视化操作,可在
Windows和Linux操作系统下运行。
网络编程技术:实现获取程序的远程
控制,局域网内有授权的计算机可以
同时获取并存储实验数据
多线程编程:将数据获取、数据存储、
在线分析、获取控制等分开,提高了
获取程序的运行效率
离线处理:程序可以直接将原始数据
转换为ROOT数据格式,使用者无需
再写数据转换程序,使用简单
扩展性好:程序结构模块化,增加插
件无需修改程序
多机框控制:最多9个VME机框,增
加机框无需修改程序

窗使用14um Kapton foil,安全、稳定、可
承受较高的工作气压(>20mbar)
使用50um W-Au wires 电场稳定,均匀

新型PPAC研制状态
return
1、探测器整体设计完成,PCB电路板加
工完成
2、PPAC位置板的镀膜工艺测试中,要求
保证厚度、保证导通
3、PPAC位置读出板设计完成,对LC延
迟电路的测试进行中。使用两种延迟电路
模块,跟旧的PPAC做比较
4、入射窗和出射窗制作多个,PPAC耐压
极限测试中
遇到问题:
1、使用放射源怎样刻度效率? PMT刻
度时怎样剔除宇宙线干扰
2、薄膜之间间距3mm,压框占2mm,
怎样保证换气充分,且薄膜没有形变。
3、镀膜时有几条不导通时,修补困难
