Trident – History and evolution
• Late 1990s : Series of brutal murders in black
communities with significant community concerns
• 2000 : Operation Trident launched
• 2004 : Operation Trafalgar (non-fatal shootings)
• 2008 : SCD8 Trident – Shootings Prevention and
Investigation
• 2012 : SC&O8 Trident Gang Crime Command
• 2013 : All homicide moves to SCO1
