THE RELATIONS BETWEEN UN AND ICC IN THE PRACTICES OF THE SECURITY
COUNCIL TO FACE CONFLICT SITUATIONS.
The article analyzes the relations between the Security Council and the International
Criminal Court. It thus focuses on the referral, drawing its main elements not only as a
instrument of international justice but also of conflict resolution. In particular the authots
takes under examination the cases of the failed referral on the Syrian situation and the two
adopted referrals on Darfur and Libya. Finally, some considerations is made on the
debated possibility to refer the situation in the territories under the control of the ISIL.
