Twelve (12) months definite contract with six (6) months probationary period and two (2) weeks trial period.

Job description

• Do

mise-en-place

in the restaurant area and utility room and preparing tables for service • Welcome customers on arrival in restaurant, assign table and offer menu • • Receive customer, offer wine list and take orders for drinks Advise customer on choice of meals according to tastes and day's specials • Take • • Serve meals at table on a plate Clean tables and bar/restaurant area

Requirements

• • • Be punctual, responsible, loyal and portray a professional disposition Be flexible and able to work on her/his own initiative and also as part of a team Be fluent in English, while knowledge of different languages (especially Italian) will be considered an asset • Have good interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and willingness to learn in order to interact and cooperate with other team members • • • Have a comprehensive knowledge of food and wine with a particular focus on the Italian cuisine Have previous and proven experience within à-la-carte restaurant environment Work flexible hours on a shift basis in a dynamic environment, be self-motivated and able to handle pressure • • Hold a valid food handling license and a HACCP certification Maintain and ensure highest quality standards at all times especially while dealing with customers

Further Information

Working hours will be determined by a weekly roster based on an average of six (6) working days and eight (8) hours per day. Split shifts (lunch/dinner) might be required. Overtime rate will be paid for any hours worked over forty-eight (48) hours in a week
