What is EURES?
• A network linking public employment
services across Europe to provide an
international jobcentre service
• Jobcentre Plus as the British public
employment service is part of the EURES
network
• Funded by the European Commission
• Launched in November 1994

• Advice about living and working in EEA

• A human network of more than 700 EURES

• Search through the European vacancy
database of over 900,000 vacancies
• Search by country/region, occupation and
keywords
• The vacancies cover a wide range of
occupations and include permanent and
seasonal job opportunities. Each vacancy
has information on how to apply and whom
to contact.

• The database contains contains information
on a number of important issues such as
finding accommodation, finding a school,
taxes, the cost of living, health, social
legislation, and comparability of
qualifications.
• You can also view Labour Market
Information. This provides details on current
trends on the European labour market by

• An internet-based meeting place for employers and

• Gives you the opportunity to post your CV and
