What Can The Students
Do?





Do a breathing exercise together right before
the test
Positive self-talk---You know this, imagine
yourself doing well
Allow students 2 minutes before the test begins
to right down what they can
Allow students to use scratch paper
Allow students to drink water during test
Allow students to stand and stretch during test
What Can We Do?


Talk to the student outside of regular class time
Do not ask them directly, “Do you have a
disability?”
Say---your knowledge isn’t coming through on
your tests; what is going on?
Refer them to see me or to CAPS
