Program Planning
Or…Why does the university want to
torture me and make me do more
work?

What does program planning
accomplish?
“Program planning is evidence-based and future-oriented; program goals and objectives
should guide assessment of student learning outcomes, faculty hiring, student recruitment
and retention efforts, research, scholarship or creative activities (RSCA) by the faculty, and
interaction with the community.” (Program Planning Guidelines)
