Introduction
• In this contribution we compare link level
performance of MLD and MMSE receiver in MUMIMO mode using ZF precoding
ZF-Forcing Precoding
• Zero-Forcing precoding procedure at the BS
– Construct the initial precoding matrix for the reported PMIs
V  c1 , c 2 ,..., c N 
– Calculate of ZF precoding vectors at the BS

Simulation Settings
• MCS sets:
– MCS Set #1 – QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM with
medium code rates
– MCS Set #2 - QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM with high
code rates
• Channel Models:
– UMa-nLOS (0.5 TX ant. sp.) – highly correlated
channel
– UMa-nLOS (10 TX ant. sp.) – uncorrelated channel
– MS speed: 3kmph
• Receivers: MF (MRC), MMSE, MLD

Conclusions
• MLD shows remarkable gains over MMSE for ZF MUMIMO mode
• Support of MLD for MU-MIMO in DL A-MAP is required
