Stanley (Aruba), B.Kraemer (Marvell) September 2009 doc.: 11-09-1057-00 Introduction • This document contains the report to the IEEE 802 Executive Committee in support of a request for conditional approval to send IEEE P802.11v to Sponsor Ballot. • This document (11-09/1057-00) was approved during the closing plenary session of the 802.11 working group on September 25, 2009. – Passed in the Task Group x-y-z – Passed in the Working Group x-y-z Submission Slide 2 D. Generally, the recirculation ballot and resolution should occur in accordance with the schedule presented at the time of conditional approval. – Condition Met. Recirculation ballot 155 completed on 07 August 2009, according to the schedule presented in https://mentor.ieee.org/802.11/dcn/09/11-09-0720-02-000v-tgv-sponsorballot-request-presentation.ppt b) After resolution of the recirculation ballot is completed, the approval percentage is at least 75% and there are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes. – Condition Met. The approval percentage is 92.19%. There were no new valid DISAPPROVE votes. c) No technical changes, as determined by the WG Chair, were made as a result of the recirculation ballot. – Condition Met. The comment resolutions in the last recirculation did not approve any changes to the draft. Submission Slide 3 D. No new valid DISAPPROVE comments on new issues that are not resolved to the satisfaction of the submitter from existing DISAPPROVE voters. – Condition Met. There are no DISAPPROVE comments from existing DISAPPROVE voters. One existing DISAPPROVE voter submitted and subsequently withdrew 3 submitted comments. e. If the WG Chair determines that there is a new invalid DISAPPROVE comment or vote, the WG Chair shall promptly provide details to the Sponsor. – Explanation: There are no required comments received that were determined to be invalid. There are 2 not-required comments associated with DISAPPROVE votes that were determined to be invalid. These were ruled invalid as they did not relate to draft text changed, draft text affected by changed text or an existing unsatisfied DISAPPROVE comment from a DISAPPROVE voter. LB155 comments are on Slide 6. f. The WG Chair shall immediately report the results of the ballot to the Sponsor including: the date the ballot closed, vote tally and comments associated with any remaining disapproves (valid and invalid), the WG responses and the rationale for ruling any vote invalid. – The ballot closed on: 7 August 2009 – The vote tally is: 177 Approve, 15 Disapprove, 38 Abstain – The comments associated with remaining disapproves are on the next slide Submission Slide 4 D.
