P802.11REVmb D12.0 has completed its sixth recirculation ballot, achieving 97% approval and meeting the terms of the conditional approval. This presentation is the report to the IEEE 802 executive committee in support of completion of the requirements for conditional approval to proceed to IEEE-SA RevCom. Submission Slide 2 D. Generally, the recirculation ballot and resolution should occur in accordance with the schedule presented at the time of conditional approval. – The Ballot occurred, in accordance with the schedule presented to the EC in document 11-11/1533r1. The recirculation running at the time conditional approval was granted completed on schedule. The additional recirculation shown on the plan was not required. b) After resolution of the recirculation ballot is completed, the approval percentage is at least 75% and there are no new valid DISAPPROVE votes. – – The approval percentage is 97%. There are no new DISAPPROVE votes. c) No technical changes, as determined by the WG Chair, were made as a result of the recirculation ballot. – No changes were made as a result of the recirculation ballot. d) No new valid DISAPPROVE comments on new issues that are not resolved to the satisfaction of the submitter from existing DISAPPROVE voters – – Submission During the last recirculation, two comments that were marked “not part of a no vote” were received from an APPROVE voter. No new DISAPPROVE comments were received. Slide 3 D. Stanley (Aruba), B.Kraemer (Marvell) November 2011 doc.: IEEE 11-11/1533r2 Meeting the terms of conditional approval - continued e) If the WG Chair determines that there is a new invalid DISAPPROVE comment or vote, the WG Chair shall promptly provide details to the Sponsor. • There were no new DISAPPROVE comments or votes. f) The WG Chair shall immediately report the results of the ballot to the Sponsor including: the date the ballot closed, vote tally and comments associated with any remaining disapproves (valid and invalid), the WG responses and the rationale for ruling any vote invalid. • The ballot closed on 2011-11-13 at 23:59 ET • The vote tally: For: 150, against: 5, abstain: 9. 88.2% return., 96.8% affirmative. • The comments associated with remaining disapproves are included in slide 11 of this deck. – – • No new DISAPPROVE comments were received; there are no new unsatisfied comments. The numbers of unsatisfied comments have reduced slightly since R1 of this submission due to feedback from commenters on which comments they consider to be satisfied or unsatisfied, or due to previous “no” voters changing their votes. In addition, one voter changed from “Disapprove” to “Approve” after the ballot closed. No votes have been ruled invalid. Submission Slide 4 D.
