reproduce hierarchies and inequalities
among individuals and populations

• 17% of all latinamericans feel discriminated
against
– 26% in countries like Brazil, were ethnic/racial
diversity is larger
• 44 of every100 people is discriminated
against in the region
• 6 of every 10 adolescents say that they have
been discriminated against when they were
younger
