Do now:




Continue to work in your small group from yesterday to
complete your assigned section of the handbook. You will
have 15 minutes.
Review fire drill location
Each group will present your findings to the entire
class.
Make sure you turn in the homework from
Wednesday for partial credit.





WHSD abides by the mandatory attendance
policy established by the state.
Upon returning from an absence you have 3
days to turn in an excuse.
If you miss more than 20 days for a year-long
course, you can fail.
If you cut class, you can receive a 0 for that
day.
Poor attendance can impact your participation
grade.

You can dress/groom how you see fit as long
as it doesn’t disrupt the educational
environment of the school.

Playing a sport or participating in an activity is
a privilege. You must regularly attend school,
maintain minimum academic standards, and
not be a behavioral problem.

In order to maintain a safe learning
environment no legitimate or imitation gang
behavior will be tolerated. Keep the street stuff
in the streets…

The contents of your locker are your sole
responsibility. Your locker can be search and
its contents can be seized under reasonable
suspicion.

Don’t share your locker.

Don’t let people know your combination.

Reset your locker every time you use it…

The nurse will check your height, weight, and
vision every year, free of charge.



You are not allowed to self medicate, not even
Tylenol.
Any non-over-the-counter medication must be
accompanied by a prescription from a licensed
physician.
If you need to take an over-the-counter
medication, you must have a note from your
parent/guardian. It must be administered by
the nurse.

In order to help ensure a safe and orderly
environment, all students entering the building
must go through metal detection and have
his/her bag searched.


School provided transportation is a privilege.
Failure to obey the bus driver will result in the
loss of this privilege.
You must be picked up and dropped off at
your designated stop, unless the principal
provides a written note to the driver.




The surveillance system is to help provide a
safe and orderly learning environment.
Actions recorded can be used in disciplinary
proceedings.


You are to work in a group on 4, stick with
your pair and turn around or sideways to find
your group. You shouldn’t be moving around
the room to make your group.
At minimum, your group will be assigned 1
sections A-D. You are to take brief notes on
each subsection then present your findings to
the class. The class will be taking notes while
you present.
