Airport Procedures 101
SEÑORA SHOOK
#1 Arrive to the airport
 Many people take a taxi or get a friend to
drop them off to avoid having to pay to park
at the airport.
#2 Check in
 Locate the airline company that you booked
your flight through. Enter your personal
information and it will print you a ticket.
#3 Check your bags
 Do you have luggage that is too big for the plane? If so, you must
check your bag(s).
(Some airlines offer this for free, and some charge a fee for checked
bags.)
 Most airlines charge additional fees for :
 bags that weigh more than 50 lbs.
 more than 1 checked bag
**If you do not need to check any bags, you would skip this step
#4 Airport Security
 Here, the guards will check
you and your carry-on bags.
#5 Check the status of your flight
at the Arrival-Departure Board
#6 Find your gate/waiting room
#7 After waiting, you will be
called to board your flight
#8 Find your seat
#9 Take off
#10 Fill-out your card for
customs
* For
international
flights,
you will fill-out
an
information
card for
customs just
before
landing.
#11 Landing
#12 Go through Customs (if it
was an international flight)
#13 Arrive in the new airport and
report to baggage claim to pick-up
your checked bag(s)
