Topic List
– Test flow based in Assembly Sequence vs discussions in
this group
– Identifying scripts to be developed by I&T
– Offline processing requirements
– Test execution time estimates

Test Flow
• A separate handout shows the test flow as defined in the
Assembly Sequence
• Some CPT vs LPT test callout differences
– Assembly Sequence has LPT during test bay integration
and when the tower is integrated into the grid
– Assembly sequence has LPTs for the tower pairs until all 16
towers have been integrated (I will make the first one a CPT)
• Where do timing-in tests fit?
– Can we do them during the multibay test and use default
values for earlier tests?

I&T Developed Scripts
•
•
I believe we need to begin to make a prioritized list of scripts to be developed
by I&T
There are many reasons why I&T will have to develop or significantly modify
existing scripts
– Subsystem tests have more access to the inputs/outputs and may write
tests to take advantage of this
• Example – Tracker does a turn-on test including a measurement of
leakage current using breakout boxes at the tracker to TEM interface,
while at the LAT we can only check the telemetry values
– Some of the subsystem tests may need to be run differently when the
subsystem is integrated into the LAT
• Example – Cal has a calibration test that uses an external trigger
which could possibly be implemented using the tracker trigger instead
• Example – Cal and Tracker tests do not use GASU, what is the impact?
– Timing-in tests have been outlined by Gary, but need implementation
– Muon collection
• Collected with many combinations of settings
• Will likely be some on-line analysis
• Needs external trigger and solicited trigger

Other
• Off-line vs on-line requirements
– The tests defined in the Performance and Operations test
plan do not explicitly indicate whether the analysis is online or off-line. How is that determined?
• End-to-end committee analysis (likely to be off-line)
– Who implements?
– Need to generate an analysis list for each form of data
collection and start to hammer out the details
• Timing estimates
– How long will the test bay LPT, Grid single tower LPT,
multiple tower LPT and CPT take?
– Who can make the estimate?
– When can the estimate be available?
