Dimensions within tolerance per print 00257 4X4 Gris Assembly 001 Rework Update LAT-DS-01579 grid assembly drawing to include features for Grid #2 machining. IS: Purge groove tubes in grid were machined per print with sharp edges and corners on inlet and purgeway cutouts under heat pipe locations to accomodate purge gas flow only S.B.: Break edges and sharp corners to accomodate new configuration change to allow thermistor and thermocouple wires to pass through purge grooves and outlets on one side. 00372 MS27484T22F35P connector N/A Reclassify None required at this time. IS: Connectors were purchased as non-flight parts on P.O. 49122 S.B.: Need to upgrade qty = 2 connectors to flight NCR #147 - To be closed upon completion of Grid Survey Optical Survey NCR #257 - Must be closed prior to grid hand-off to I&T NCR #372 - Waiting for Subsystem Manager approval to close 4 Subsystem Manager’s Meeting – March 16, 2005 GLAST LAT Project Tracker NCR’s Request ID 00345 Item Description Serial # Disposition Tracker Tower A and B Level Tower A Documentation III Requirements verification and B Change Corrective Action Made change to procedure LAT-SS-00017 and released a new revision. Description of NonConformance IS: With tungsten etching we fall a little bit short of 65%. SB: Per LAT-SS-00017-05 paragraph 5.2 Gamma Ray Conversion Efficiency, The TKR shall convert at least 65% of the gamma rays with energy >10 GeV impinging upon the device at normal incidence. 00347 Tracker A and B Level III requirement IS: A particle traversing the boundary between TKR modules and at normal incidence to the module walls encountered more than 5% radiation lengths of material by 0.1%. SB: Per LAT-SS-00017-05 para. 5.4.2 Between modules: A particle traversing the boundary between TKR modules and at normal incidence to the module walls shall not encounter more than 5% radiation lengths of material, on average. • • NCR #345 – Level III Specification Change – Change request required NCR #347 – Level III Specification Change – Change request required 5 Subsystem Manager’s Meeting – March 16, 2005 GLAST LAT Project DAQ NCR’s Request ID Item Description 00335 TEM/TPS Serial # Disposition Corrective Action Description of NonConformance The test limits given by TKR for bias voltages are no longer good as a result of production changes to TEM/TPS. Specifically: Problem #, NAME, Limit, Reported by TEM 1) TKR Digital (2.5 V), 2.3-2.7, V 2.7086 2) TKR bias (I), 0.8-1.2, mA 0.368 TKR Bias (I) limit of 0.8-1.2 mA. We are measuring 0.145 mA when the TKR Bias V0 is set to 120 V, and around 5 mA when TKR Bias V0 is set to 0V. 3) TKR Analog A (1.5), 1.4-1.6, V 1.6255 4) TKR Analog B (2.5 V), 2.3-2.7, V 2.7282 5) TKR Bias (V0), 116-122, V 123.5666 TKR Bias V0 limit 116 - 122 V. Again, with Tkr Bias V0 is programmed to 120 V we are reading 123.38 V ICD specifies no greater than 120V." From NCR 330 Two out of limit parameters. "Both measurement issues are in TE101 These errors found during test iaw LAT-PS-03290 on LAT-DS-00722 TKR with fligth TEM 1752 and flt. CAL FM104. 00367 • • TEM/TPS Qual GLAT model GLAT 1754 1754 IS: TEM Power Supply total current is out of tolerance on qual mopdel TEM/TPS GLAT 1754, as measured during performance testing per LATTD-04085 rev 3 following EMI testing and prior to T/V testing S.B.: Within tolerance NCR #335 – Pending TEM CCA testing – Follow-up at 3/24 MRB NCR #367 – Further DAQ analysis of issue required – On agenda for 3/24 MRB 6 Subsystem Manager’s Meeting – March 16, 2005 GLAST LAT Project I&T NCR’s Request ID 00373 Item Description Serial # Disposition Corrective Action CAL and TEM/TPS in metrology bay Description of NonConformance IS: during runID 135000724 we saw lots of tem error events when in past we never got them. We are testing CAL FM-105 in the metrology bay with GLAT 1753 TEM/TPS installed. We do not know if this is normal or not, but suspect an issue as this is different from the behavior of other units. SB: No TEM error events except during threshold scan in cal shp routines. 00385 Tower A Tower A (Brian Horwitz 03-14-05) Revise procedure (PS_4511) to call out individual CAL schema. In this case, the schema is GASUTestStand_FM104.xml. IS: During the running of calibDac suite per AIDS-879 Step 20 on Tower A the test calf_supp_p01 did not complete in the expected time. Total run time was 5 hours. The test was aborted at the end of swing shift 03-10-05. SB: Expected time for whole suite is 2 hours. • MRB Meeting, Thursday, March 17th at 10:00 a.m. – NCR 385: Review why muTrg Test would not complete. Review why file from Fridays failed calibDAC run had to manually be placed into the Ancillary directory in order to run muTrg. Again review why the test would not complete until, raising and re-raising threshold further, to have test run to completion. MRB to Discuss interim disposition: Perform tests on HW and SW to determine why this event rate causes trouble during this routine and how other routines can process significantly higher event rates. – NCR 373: Review CAL CPT if test is complete prior to MRB. The GASU based test stand must first be validated. After validation of the GASU based test stand it will be connected to the FM105-CAL/TEM/TPS and the CAL CPT will be performed. • 7
