INTRODUCTION
• Cyberbullying is the use of information technology to repeatedly
harm or harass other people in a deliberate manner.

• Cellphones, instant message, mobile devices, social network
websites etc..
BACKGROUND
• 43% of teens experienced cyberbullying (NCPC, 2007)
• 20% of students admitted to cyberbullying others (CRC, 2010)
• 23% of teens were cyberbullied by someone they did not know
(NCPC, 2007)
• More girls were cyberbullied than boys
IMPACTS OF CYBERBULLYING
• Cyberbullying can cause psychological harm and often leads to
suicide.
• It can also lead to:
• Sadness
• Depression
• Embarrassment

• Founded May 1, 2011
• Non-profit organization aimed at combating cyberbullying
• Mission:
• “To raise awareness, provide a plethora of cyberbullying information, offer
compassionate, approachable services, and mobilize students, educators,
parents, and others in taking efforts to end cyberbullying. ETCB will work to
create a global social networking arena where all users can feel safe and
positive.”
