Motivation:
1. To analyze the errors to identify the reasons
making such errors.
2. To point out the differences and similarities
between the relative clauses in the two
languages.
3. To provide teachers teaching techniques to
help them teach effectively.
Research Questions:
1.According to three hypotheses on the
difficulty of relative clauses, is there any
syntactic order of difficulty among the four
types of relative clauses: SS, SO, OO and
OS types?
2.Based on the productive data, what kinds of
errors would senior high school students
make in learning English relative clauses?
Methodology I :



Subjects: 168 (67males +101 females)3rd
year senior high students,
168 subjects are are chosen randomly from 4
schools: KMB, KMG, KMC, KMH
Background: the same social and educational
backgrounds, at least 5 years of English
learning.
