INTRODUCTION
Prior to implementing any development
program in an area, ground information is
critical.
Hence Tikina Profile was initiated to
provide alternative source of information
[Long drought - Agriculture Census]
The concept paper for the Tikina Profile
was endorsed by management in
December 2003 and work started in
2004.
Ministry mandated Extension Division to
conduct and implement the community
profile activities.
Purpose:
To provide basic information as input to
policy makers and planners for
community level development
To facilitate decisions for the
establishment of Rural Market Centers.
Facilitate deploying staff and
measurement of staff
performance.
Gender Development
Provide a database for individual
farmers in the country and be updated
and maintained by Extension resources
