Ongoing Projects
• Reading to Kindergarten and First
Graders at Blanton Elementary- will
continue through the beginning of
May.
Recycling Program at HMS- 3 Days a week (See
Mrs. Guynes)
The Wheeler House: Donations
• Builder’s Club donated 5 laundry baskets of housing
supplies to the Wheeler House!
• Here are some of our donations:
The Wheeler House: Service Project
On Saturday, February 27th, the Builder’s Club participated in a service
project at the Wheeler House. We dug out flower beds and added soil to
grow fresh produce and constructed shelving for the storage shed.

Mayor’s Day of Concern for the
Hungry (April 18-22)
- This is a CITY WIDE, WEEK LONG canned
food drive
- The food donated will go to local food
banks to give away to people in need
- This will be a SCHOOL WIDE food drive (all
grades) and will include teachers,
administrators and parents as well.
- Other schools will be competing with
Harpool for the most food donated.
Helping with Posters
• Please join us after school on Tuesday, April
5th in Mrs. Pirtle’s Room (B105) to help make
posters for the canned food drive.
• I will provide posters, art supplies and snacks!
Also…
- Donate. (set the example for others)
- Encourage others to donate.
