Each medical school must have policies and

its students, faculty, staff, and other members of
its academic community, and must engage in
ongoing, systematic, and focused efforts to
attract and retain students, faculty, staff, and
others from demographically diverse
backgrounds.

INSPIRATION -
We contribute to the development of
physicians who are truly culturally competent in their skill levels by having
trained and practiced medicine in diverse environments. This is
accomplished by recruitment and maintenance of a diverse student body
and faculty and promoting cultural competency training whenever possible
(Grand Rounds, etc)
The OMA seeks to inspire all physicians in
training for service and a feeling of urgency to reach out in humanitarian
aspects of healthcare.
