What is the CCRT?
• The Cisco Cross Reference Tool (CCRT) is used
to map customer part numbers to Cisco part
numbers.
• It is a front-facing, Web tool connected to our
databases.
• Customers conduct the Web maintenance and
Cisco updates the internal records.

Searching by Cisco Part Numbers
Searches may be
conducted by:
• Entering the entire
part number, or
• Using the
percentage sign (%)
as a wildcard

displayed. For each
item, choose:
• SKU - If you want to add
your company’s SKU
• TDB - If you are unsure
whether you want to add
your company’s SKU
• NA - If you do not want to
add your company’s SKU

• Save will transmit the information to the Cisco
database
• Back will take you to the previous screen
• Stop will interrupt a transmission

After entering the
information and
clicking on save,
the following
screen will appear.
Clicking Save will
record the
changes, while
clicking Back will
take you to the
previous screen.

Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers
You may also search by
your company’s SKUs.
In the screen shown
below, select the criteria
from the following
options:
Products for which you have not
specified mapping; products for
which you have specified mapping;
products which you have selected
as TBD, or Cisco products
introduced within the previous 30,
45, or 60 days. Remember, you
may search by entering the entire
part number, or a portion of the
number and a wildcard (%)

Searching by Customer’s Part Numbers
• Select Proceed to start the
search, Clear to re-enter the
information, or Stop to abort
the process. You may also
select “Upload File” or
“Sample File”--to be
explained later.
• If you enter information and
click on Proceed, you will
see the following results
screen.
• You may then edit the SKU
description, change its
status, and save the
changes. You may also go
back or clear the fields.

• If there are not results to match your query, the tool
will return the following message: “Message: No
Products found for your search.”
• If there are too many results to display, the tool will
return the following message: “Your search will
return too many products, please choose other
options or email to [email protected] for
assistance.”

• If you edit the
results and click
on Save, you will
get the following
confirmation
screen:

• If you want the tool to
record the changes,
click on Save. Changes
will appear overnight.
You will be returned to
the screen below.
• If you would like to
dismiss the changes,
click on Back to return
to the edit screen.

Batch File Upload Functionality
• CCRT also allows
users to enter their
company’s
information through
the batch upload
functionality.
• A CSV (commaseparated value)
spreadsheet is used
to enter this
information.

necessary
spreadsheet
format.

Your company’s parts go on
the left column, and the
corresponding Cisco parts
go on the right column

Batch File Upload Functionality
• You may create the file by
clicking the “Download”
button from any screen
displaying Cisco part
numbers. The generated
file will contain Cisco
part numbers and
descriptions.
• Once you have the file,
cut the Cisco part
numbers, and paste them
onto a new file. Add your
company’s numbers and
save as a CSV.

Batch File Upload Functionality
• Clicking on the
“Upload file” button
will produce the
following screen.
Simply specify the
path where the file
can be found, and
click “Upload file.”

• If the upload is
successful, the following
message will appear.
There is an additional
step to be followed before
the information is stored
(see next slide).
• Click the back button.
