School day begins at 8:15 and ends at

Dividers for 8 class periods

Agenda Book will be provided
LOCKERS
All students are assigned 2 lockers
1 Hallway locker and 1 P.E. locker
Use in morning and
afternoon only
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
You will have Physical Education for 3 marking
periods every other day
You will have Health for 1 marking period.
Students are expected to change into P.E.
clothes to participate.
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Activity Bus leaves school at 4:30
Bus will drop you off at or near your regular
bus stop
Possible After School Activities:
Intramural Sports, SGA, Art Club, Yearbook
Club, Drama Club, Homework Club,
Cheerleading, etc…
Some teachers are also available for extra help
Excel Beyond the Bell- Monday-Thursday
OUTDOOR EDUCATION
3 day/2 night residential program
Dates announced in the summer.
(one group goes M-W and the other group goes W -F)
Stay in cabins
Continue with curriculum, but do it
outdoors
MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAM
Is a program for students ages 11 – 16
years old (6 th – 10 th graders).
The program encourages students to
understand the connections between
their school subjects and the real world.
Students strive to become internationally
minded critical and reflective thinkers.
HOW PARENTS CAN HELP
Stay Involved! – Teenagers need your
involvement (even if they won’t tell you)
Managers and Coaches – new roles for
parents
Edline / Agenda Books – Help them
Monitor and keep track of grades and
assignments
PTSA / Outdoor Ed / Fieldtrips – The
school needs you. Find an opportunity to
commit to volunteering at least once a year.
