October is over, Thanksgiving is near.
Can’t you smell turkey and stuffing right here?
And when it is over and thanks have been said,
It won’t be the turkey, but me stuffed instead!
The Thanksgiving table is loaded with treats.
It’s hard to use caution and not over-eat.
But when it is over and I’m stuffed in bed,
I’ll wish that the turkey had gobbled instead!
