shows the concept of Ge
quantum dots based solar
cells.
Figures 2 shows the high resolution transmission electron
micrographs showing the Ge quantum dots surrounded by TiO2
matrix. Preliminary photoconductivity experiments show a factor of
4 increase in photoconductivity upon exposure to white light.
