Motivation and Objective
Motivation
The motivation for the project is to be able to push
the limitations on a formula car by innovatively redesigning the existing shift system
Objective
The objective of our design is to modify the existing
mechanical shifting arrangement on the Pacific Motorsports
Formula SAE vehicle to an electro-pneumatic system such
that the shift sequence is executed in the shortest time
possible.
Secondary Objective
The secondary objective is to add suspensions to the
formula car so that it will be driveable for the first time
