Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank is the
largest Hunger Relief organization in
the world!
The Bank here in Valdosta hosts
programs like The Valdosta Food
Bank, Rescue Valdosta, Kids Cafe',
The Community Soup Kitchen, Manna
Truck, and the Community Kitchens
Program.
What I did at the Bank…
I stocked and organized empty boxes
so people looking for boxes can find
them more efficiently.
Unloading Boxes
I helped unload boxes full of food.
First, I opened the boxes and looked
at what kind of food was in the box.
Checking the food…
Then, I looked through all the food to
make sure nothing was wrong with it
and it could be repackaged.
Stocking Shelves
I stocked the shelves with all different
sorts of food.
I put them up on the shelves in an
orderly fashion, so people can easily
find different kinds of food.
I think the Second Harvest Food Bank
has wonderful programs that touch
many people in a positive way.
I really enjoyed being apart of this
experience!
