 It is a remarkably changed Library…. After 3 years of evaluation and changes, and with strong support from the Board of Education, Administration, faculty and community (especially the Pocantico Hills Foundation and the PTA) we are proud to offer….

Revitalized Collection and Updated Technology  New computers and printers  Over 3,000 new titles added  Twice as many YA titles  More books on tape, foreign language titles  Enhanced research capability  Decreased collection age  More current information and on line databases

Increased Use by Students and Faculty  Book circulation 1,700 books a month  New “flexible schedule” for Middle School  Weekly signup for extra class visits  Expanded professional resources  Better staff communication and more planning time supports our curriculum

Increased Access for Students and Families  15 extra periods a week offer open access to the library  All-day, every day checkout for books  Open 9th period daily for middle school  Family hours Wednesday 3:30 - 5:30 pm  Promotional events sponsored by PTA and Foundation

A Redesigned Environment  A living room with sofa and easy chairs  Separate area for elementary collection  More child and teen friendly magazines  Racks make finding favorites easier  Future changes await architect’s review
