Programma Masterclass Heupbeleid voor kinderen met
cerebrale parese

Op dit moment is er in Nederland weinig op wetenschappelijk bewijs gebaseerde overeenstemming
(tussen orthopeden, revalidatieartsen en paramedici) rondom het heupbeleid voor kinderen met
cerebrale parese. Deze masterclass heeft als doel paramedici, revalidatieartsen en orthopeden
samen te brengen als aanzet tot verdere ontwikkelingen binnen het heupbeleid.
De laatste jaren worden er richtlijnen voor revalidatieartsen ontwikkeld. Heupbeleid is actueel, maar
staat ook nog in de kinderschoenen. (Sub)luxaties van de heupen kunnen veel pijnklachten
veroorzaken en gevolgen hebben voor het dagelijks leven van een kind met cerebrale parese.
Conservatieve maatregelen zijn vaak zwaar voor het kind en de omgeving. Ook de gevolgen van een
heupoperatie kunnen soms erg groot zijn, zoals verlies van de mogelijkheid om zich lopend voort te
bewegen, sterke asymmetrie in de benen, etc.
Goede samenwerking en afstemming tussen orthopeden, revalidatieartsen en paramedici over het te
volgen beleid ten behoeve van een kwaliteitsverbetering in het leven van het kind met cerebrale
parese is derhalve belangrijk.

uit Zweden uitgenodigd om hun beleid rond de heupproblematiek met ons te delen. Zij zullen het
hebben over: het preventieve beleid In Zweden; het nut en de noodzaak van conservatieve
maatregelen ter preventie van heupafwijking / tegengaan van progressie; drempelwaarden voor
operatie; toegepaste operatietechnieken en postoperatieve beleid; voorzieningen en het nut van
postoperatieve fysiotherapie.
Tijdens het middagprogramma komen Nederlandse sprekers aan het woord, zoals orthopeed
drs. Arno ten Ham over het conservatieve heupbeleid, indicatiestelling voor chirurgie, relatie met
scoliose, preoperatief beleid en operatie technieken. Dr. Eric Boldingh, revalidatiearts, gaat vert
uden bij ouders en oudere kinderen over hoe zij
het heupbeleid hebben ervaren. Zij belicht het heupbeleid vanuit het perspectief van ouders en kind.
Drs. Van Kampen start daarnaast binnenkort met een onderzoek naar de relatie tussen
heupproblemen en scoliose.
