1st INTERNATIONAL

AROUND TEETH AND IMPLANTS

PRESENTATION
This first International Symposium, organized by VitaSalute San Raffaele University (Milan), aims to clarify the
biological and clinical information on the management of
periodontal and peri-implant soft tissues and the real needs
of the different surgical techniques in the clinical practice.
This topic has become of great importance, not only for
the obvious aesthetic implications, but also because of the
influence that soft tissues might have in the inflammatory
processes, mostly around implants.
This Symposium also clearly states the importance that our
University gives to the evaluation and treatment of periodontal
and peri-implant tissues, as the prevention of the diseases
that may afflict them.
Surgical techniques are the protagonists, but it becomes
increasingly clear that no surgical treatment can reach stable
long term results is not followed by an accurate maintenance
for the prevention of potential complications.
So the Symposium will offer to the Participants lectures on
the biological rationale for treatment as well as presentations
and discussions of the latest surgical techniques aimed to
achieve stable results in the reconstruction of periodontal
and peri-implant soft tissues.
We look forward to see in Milan, next February!
