JANUARY –
MONTH OF THE HOLY NAME
January is the Month of the Holy Name of Jesus.
Just after Christmas we read of Our Lord being
given His Name, JESUS, Which means
SAVIOUR.
Our Lord’s Name tells us
everything that He is for us. During this Month,
more than ever, we should examine ourselves on
our use of the Names of GOD, JESUS AND
CHRIST. Not only should we look at ourselves
and our use of the Holy Name but we should also
help those around us to be conscious of the fact
that they are taking God’s or Our Lord’s Name
in vain. Just as in so many beautiful ways the
Month of October was in a special way the
Month of the Holy Rosary throughout our Parish,
so let this Month of January be the Month of the
Holy Name, when every Parishioner in every
home makes self-examination and helps others to
examine themselves on the use of the Holy name
of JESUS!
If we use His Name with respect and love,
that Sweet Name of Jesus will be our peace and
consolation here on earth and our everlasting joy
in heaven.
