Thank You
We’d like to express our gratitude to all our volunteers who worked
very hard to make our annual Feast of the Assumption a success.
Everyone had a great time during the various events and enjoyed
nice food. In particular, we’d like to acknowledge the help of the
Knights of Columbus, Choirs, Altarservers, the Italian & Filipino
Group for preparing the food, the Youth Group for the games and
all the others who helped us out.
FAMILY OF FAITH CAMPAIGN
Our Parish has just begun an exciting and historic campaign that will
address our own parish needs as well as many challenges throughout
the Archdiocese of Toronto.
Our parish goal, set by Cardinal Collins, is $960,000.00, of which
75% will go for the needs of the Archdiocese and 25% will be
available for our Church.
The good news is that so far we have already raised
$1,036,520.00, and that means that we have reached our goal and
that any money raised from now on, 75% will remain for our parish.
Please, help us in raising more funds to support the Archdiocese and
St. Paschal Church.
MONTHLY HOLY HOUR OF ADORATION on Friday Sept.
5th at 7:30pm. All our parishioners are invited to attend.
ADULT CONVERTS AND ADULT CONFIRMATION
If you are interested in becoming a member of our Roman Catholic
faith, or if you are an adult and wish to receive the Sacrament of
Confirmation, please call the parish office (905)889-9021. The
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and Confirmation
classes will be held every Wednesday evening from 7:30pm to
9:00pm beginning on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 until Easter, in
the rectory hall.
ADORERS NEEDED for the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament. If
you can help, please call Mary Downing at 905/731-4520 or the
parish office.
CATECHISM TEACHERS NEEDED
Very soon school will resume, and we will also begin our
catechetical programs in preparation for the Sacraments of Penance,
Holy Communion and Confirmation. In order to provide these
services, we need the help of volunteers to run the formation classes.
If you have any teaching experience or have done this program in
the past, please call the office and leave name and phone number.

GRAZIE
Un caloroso ringraziamento a tutti i volontari, che hanno
lavorato così bene in occasione della Festa dell’Assunta.
In particolare ringraziamo i Cavalieri di Colombo, i cori, i
chierichetti, il gruppo Italiano e Filippino per aver
preparato il cibo e il gruppo giovani per aver organizzato i
giochi. A tutti gli altri che hanno lavorato tanto, prima e
dopo la festa, grazie di cuore!
CAMPAGNA PER LA FAMIGLIA DEI FEDELI
La nostra parrocchia ha appena iniziato questa bella
iniziativa per venire incontro ai bisogni della parrocchia e
dell’Arcidiocesi di Toronto.
L’obiettivo da raggiungere, secondo il suggerimento del
cardinal Collins, è di $960.000, di cui il 75% va
all’arcidiocesi e il 25% alla nostra parrocchia.
La buona notizia è che abbiamo già ricevuto $1.036.520;
perciò tutto quello che riusciremo a raccogliere da ora in
avanti, il 75% rimarrà nella nostra chiesa e il 25% andrà
all’arcidiocesi.
Aiutateci a raccogliere offerte per sostenere l’Arcidiocesi di
Toronto e la Parrocchia di S. Pasquale. Grazie!
ORA DI ADORAZIONE
Tutti i nostri parrocchiani sono invitati a partecipare all’ora
di Adorazione, Venerdì 5 Settembre alle ore 7:30pm.
Pregheremo, canteremo e mediteremo sulla Parola di Dio.
CORSO PER CONVERTENDI
Se conoscete qualcuno che vuole diventare cattolico oppure
un adulto che vuol ricevere il Sacramento della Cresima,
chiamate l’ufficio parrocchiale. Il corso di formazione per gli
adulti (RCIA) avrà luogo ogni mercoledì dalle 7:30 alle
9:00pm, a partire dal 1 ottobre 2014 fino a Pasqua 2015.
VOLONTARI PER IL CATECHISMO
All’inizio del prossimo mese, inizierà la scuola e anche i
corsi di catechismo in preparazione ai Sacramenti della
Confessione, Comunione e Cresima. Per organizzare questi
corsi, abbiamo bisogno di volontari, che hanno già avuto
esperienza di insegnamento nelle scuole o che hanno già
tenuto questi corsi in passato. Chiamate l’ufficio parrocchiale
e lasciate il vostro nome e numero di telefono. Grazie.
