Casa Vinicola Zonin at Vinitaly 2014 is more and more “green”
Domenico Zonin - Vice President of Casa Vinicola Zonin and President of UIV – will
introduce a conference on sustainability and our sustainable wines Tenuta Ca’Bolani Prosecco
Frizzante and Castello d’Albola Il Solatio Chianti Classico Docg will be presented at
“Magis Time” events
Respect and care for the environment are part of Casa Vinicola Zonin's culture and
philosophy. Only precise attention to detail in every phase of winemaking, from the
vineyard to the bottle, produce top class wines. Similarly, only care for the environment
throughout the whole production process makes for high quality and sustainable wines.
Domenico Zonin, in his position of Vice President of Casa Vinicola Zonin and
President of Unione Italiana Vini (UIV), strongly supports and enhances the “green”
attitude of both his family’s company and the Italian wine producers in general.
At Vinitaly, on April 7 at 2.30 pm, Domenico will hold the opening speech at the
convention “Il Valore del Vino Sostenibile è l’Uomo” (The Human Being is the Main
Value for Sustainable Wines), organised at Fisar Stand by Magis, the first and most
advanced project for the sustainable production of wine in Italy, and Fisar, the Italian
Sommeliers Association.
At Fisar booth (D Area, stand C1/C2) “Magis Time” tasting events will take place too.
Thanks to its technical-scientific committee, composed of important Universities,
Research Centres, Professional Associations, wine companies and an independent
Certification Institute, DNV Business Assurance, Magis verified with DNV the capability
of the first companies involved in the Magis project to adopt a complex sustainability
protocol. “Magis Time” will be the occasion to celebrate the first 18 “Sustainable
Wines” with certified labels, recognized by the over 100 companies partners of Magis.
All the bottles of these wines, so different according to their origin area, taste and
character, have now a common added value by the sustainability stamp Magis. Two Casa
Vinicola Zonin wines are among the first 18 certified wines: Tenuta Ca’ Bolani Prosecco
Frizzante Doc and Castello d’Albola Il Solatio Chianti Classico Docg.
Stefano Ferrante, our Chief Winemaker, will introduce the Tenuta Ca’Bolani Prosecco
Frizzante Doc on Sunday, April 6 at 5 pm, and Carlo De Biasi, our Chief Agronomist
awarded with the 2013 Green Personality of the Year Award at The Drinks Business
Green Awards , will lead the tasting of Castello d’Albola Il Solatio Chianti Classico Docg
on Monday April 7 at 4 pm.
