sharpen focus on implementation efforts.
• Review and discuss the areas of focus to accelerate the impact of
NAIPs and investments on poverty and hunger reduction.

• Objectives:
– Discuss country assessments – what has worked and
what are the gaps (based on stocktaking assessment
done prior to the meeting)
– Discuss and agree on 3-4 most common areas of
progress
– Identify the 3 – 4 major issues /constraints that must
be addressed to improve implementation over the
coming years
– Prepare to report on areas of progress and major
constraints

• Country teams will meet in regional groups after lunch
• NO FORMAL PRESENTATIONS
• Frank, open dialogue
– share experiences on how issues have been dealt with to
date
– help outline and guide next steps on what might be done
to address these issues or challenges
• These are not sessions to judge
– It’s a RARE opportunity to have collegial problem solving
discussions -- starting with a good understanding of the
problems you are facing

regional group
• Agreement on 3-4 PRIORITY issues that MUST
be addressed (by countries/ RECs / donors or
all) to move forward
