Getting Started • Type in http://c1.livetext.com/ in the address bar Click Purchase/Register
Purchasing or Activating Your Product • If you’ve already purchased LiveText select Register Membership and continue with registering your product.
• If you still need to purchase your LiveText select Purchase Membership.
Logging On • Once you’ve created a username and password login to your account.
Creating Your Portfolio • Select Dashboard, then select New Document.
Creating Your Portfolio • In the Folder tab select Portfolios under the NWOSU heading • In the Template tab select NWOSU Teacher Education Portfolio • In the Title tab, create a title such as, Charlie Brown’s Portfolio • In the Description add your major area of study, ex. Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or Elementary Education, Secondary Education-Science • Last, select Save as New Document
Creating a New Document • Click Documents tab located in the top center of the screen • Click My Work tab • Click New

• Under Folder , choose Projects under LiveText heading • Under template choose Blank Project • Enter in a title • Save as New Document

• Click Manage Pages-the third tab in your document.
• Click on the box next to Blank Page then select Edit Title • Change to your desired title and press save.

• Next, press the Document View tab and with in your document press Edit under Manage Sections.
• Here is where you can change the Section Title, type a project paper, attach a Microsoft Word or PDF file, or an image. • When you are finished, press Save & Finish.
Sending for Review or Sharing • When you are finished with your document you can Send for Review or Share
• Click the Dashboard tab and look for your Portfolio under the My Work tab and click on it.
Using Your Portfolio
• In your portfolio you will notice benchmark requirements, field experience data, and competency requirements.
• Under Autobiography heading click edit. Here you can either upload your autobiography as a file attachment or copy and paste it into the text box. Click Save & Finish when you are done. Repeat for your unofficial transcript.
Editing
Adding Competency Information • Click Edit under any Competency • Follow the steps in the Text Box to remove the unwanted portions of the information and fill in the areas with your information
Adding Competency Information • To hyperlink your artifact press the Insert LiveText Document button • Click on the document you want to link and press Insert Document(s) • The only thing that should be showing on the Competency is the background information with a hyperlink to your artifact and your reflective commentary
Using the Field Experience Chart To use the field experience chart, go into your portfolio and press edit next to the Field Experience Chart.

Open a new web browser and go to www.schoolreportcards.org
• • Select School Report Cards Click to access the reports

In #1 select the school year you would like to review (typically it will be the most current profile year).
In #2 select the way in which you would like to search for the school you completed your field experience at.
In #3 select Student and your state of residence.
Gathering Information Once you’ve located your school find the information required for the Field Experience Chart. You will need the information in the School category.
Plugging in Information Plug those numbers into your Field Experience Chart. If there isn’t a percentage for one of the categories DO NOT put in a zero unless the report card specifically says zero; otherwise, just leave it blank. When you are finished press Save & Finish.
