How to: recover deleted items Complicated scenario; touches our retention policies and email recovery discoverability. Default deleted item folder retention policies in O365 have been removed now! Import email to O365 scenarios We are re-thinking how the experience of users (mostly small customers) populating their mailboxes with email can be improved. There is a fair number of confused O365 customers: when to use EAC vs. MOP? We are unifying our management story more and more. Expect this to continue. 13 What are the issues? What are we doing? Corrupt Items We have moved the corrupt item limits from zero tolerance to allowing for 10 items to be skipped. This allows for a 90% drop in issues Over Sized items Currently the documented limit is 25MB per message, we have increased the message size limit to 150MB for Hybrid moves. We have also increased the transport limit recently Onboarding process The onboarding process is one that is currently disjointed and hard to follow. We are working on improving this story by bringing the onboarding and migration process together Complicated deployments We have an offering to help customers onboard with some guided help from Microsoft, this in known and the On-Boarding 14 Center (OBC) What are the issues? What are we doing? Hybrid Stability We are spending a lot of time and resources to ensure that Hybrid is stable. We had a bad stretch but improved in a lot of areas as a result OAUTH We are starting to use OAUTH for many scenarios. We are working to make this more stable Hybrid CAN be a transition state We have limited ability and guidance for getting customers out of a hybrid configuration, we are making this a priority for engineering a Inline Improvements We are making a big investment to ensure that we collect the data we need to solve a customer problem before they experience any issues Empowering our customers We are building a series of troubleshooter that will empower our customers to solve there own issues, the first is http://aka.ms/HCWCheck but there are many more coming15 What are the issues? Outlook 2013 IMAP missing email and slow sync What are we doing? Substantial fixes that address most of the IMAP issues are included in SP 1. Emerging issues are being fixed as they are reported via support and forum threads. Outlook client and Outlook.com server side fixes have been implemented for SP 1 + PUs. Now focusing on smaller work items: Outlook.com via EAS in Outlook 2013 contacts not syncing and mail not appearing on devices Business Contact Manager Form controls display incorrect labels - Meetings not syncing with Outlook.com (under investigation May 2015) Digital certificate is not added using Add to Outlook Contacts (Dec PU) When moving mail to another folder the (To/CC) recipients are duplicated (Nov PU) Sending BCC only email sender also gets a copy (Nov PU) Calendar item's reminder not synced via EAS if set to "None“ (Sept CU) Contact Notes field text appears as HTML Hotmail (client fix completed SP 1, server side fix TBD) Original downloads have been replaced with fixed builds. We heard your feedback “Outlook is too bright!” and for O16 we are adding new Dark Themes 17 What are the issues? What are we doing? OWA limitations: no calendar or contact folders in OWA (only mail) Calendar and Contact folders can now be seen in OWA if they are added to Favorites in Outlook. Team is still working on improvements here. Capacity (folder limit) New EXO limit: 100,000 folders New On-prem limits: CU8+: 1,000,000 Migration is pretty slow and therefore, unreliable Work to increase speed of PF migration shipped in CU8 and CU9. This is the ‘Batch migration’ approach. The approach has been successful so we will deprecate the ‘Serial migration’ option. 18 What are the issues? What are we doing? ETA end of the calendar year. Virus in the mailbox Updated processes to make this smoother for customers. Also, Advanced Threat Protection coming later in the Spam in the mailbox Lots of work going on with recent enhancements to bulk mail identification. More to come.
