Romans 3:1–8 (NKJV)

What advantage then has the Jew, or what is
the profit of circumcision? 2 Much in every way!
Chiefly because to them were committed the
3
oracles of God. For what if some did not
believe? Will their unbelief make the
4
faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly
not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a
liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified
in Your words, And may overcome when You
are judged.”
Romans 3:1–8 (NKJV)
5
But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the
righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God
6
unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)
Certainly not! For then how will God judge the
world? 7 For if the truth of God has increased
through my lie to His glory, why am I also still
judged as a sinner? 8 And why not say, “Let us do
evil that good may come”?—as we are
slanderously reported and as some affirm that we
say. Their condemnation is just.

What advantage did the Jews have
over the Gentiles – (3:1,2; 9:4;
Deut. 4:7,8; John 5:39; Gal 3:1925)
✦
This advantage actually magnified
their guilt! - (2:17-29; 3:19-20)
✦
Unbelief will NOT make void, set
aside, or limit the truth of God –
3:3,4; Is. 55:11; 2 Tim. 2:13; Heb.
6:13-18
✦
The condemnation of the wicked is
just – even though their wickedness
magnifies the righteousness of God

disregard God’s word,
rejecting it and seeking
things that are directly
opposed to its clear
teaching. (Rom 1:18-32)

Man has desperately striven to

We were given this world by God, to
have dominion over it (Genesis

is facing dramatic
moral change today, - there
are many things deemed
“acceptable” today that were
unspeakable 50 years ago shameful just 40 years ago generally rejected 30 years

“The only possible basis for
a sound morality is mutual
tolerance and respect:
tolerance of one another’s
customs and opinions;
respect for one another’s
rights and feelings;
“I think culture is already there and
the church will continue to be even
more irrelevant when it quotes
letters from 2,000 years ago as their

Do you not know that the
unrighteous will not inherit the
kingdom of God? Do not be
deceived. Neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor
thieves, nor covetous, nor
drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners will inherit the kingdom

& authority by the things that are
