Core Standards addressed: RI.9-10.1: Cite strong and thorough textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text. W.9-10.7: Conduct short research projects to answer a question or solve a problem…synthesize multiple sources on the subject, demonstrating understanding of the subject under investigation. Reading Romeo and Juliet. 3. Using Powerpoint to design a presentation to share with the class. 4. Participating in a focused discussion with a small group. 5. Learning about comma rules. 6. Conducting internet research. 1. Strand: Reading Informational Texts (RI) Skills: Determine the main idea of a text and how an author develops that idea. (RI.910.2) Analyze how an author’s ideas are developed by sentences, paragraphs, etc. (RI.9-10.5) Analyze various accounts of a subject in different ways (print/videos) (RI.9-10.7) Make sure you have any textbooks you’ll need to complete your homework assignments!!
