Status
• PPS racks are complete and in position in MLCR
— a small number of wiring modifications remain to be done
• Majority of PPS hardware needed for DSA installation has
been purchased
— still “some assembly required”
• Installation of PPS hardware and wiring between it and
the PPS racks has commenced
— this job is owned by Colin Barry
o need to determine timescales (end of February?)
• Drawings detailing wiring from the racks to the Hall
equipment remain to be done (at DL)
— need final layout of Hall search route to be defined
o requires Long, Zisman, Apsimon, Stevens

Issues (MZ view)
• Need to understand required time scale for completion of
work
— January 21 date has come and gone
— need to complete DSA portion by March 27 (2008!)
o reasonably complete system mid-June at latest!
– system that can handle both DSA and MICE Hall
 RF and hydrogen not needed this soon
• Alexander will be at CM20 next Monday-Tuesday for
discussion
— needs to meet with Barry, Spensley, Long, Nichols, Apsimon, and Zisman
o also Alan Stevens (ISIS)
— we need intermediate milestones that can be monitored
