LED TO A REVOLT BY WHITE SETTLERS AND TO HER DETHRONEMENT. SHE WROTE MANY
SONGS, THE MOST FAMOUS OF WHICH WAS “ALOHA OE,” OR “FAREWELL TO THEE,” PLAYED
COUNTLESS TIMES BY HAWAIIAN BANDS FOR DEPARTING TOURISTS.
