Windows: some news from CEA projects

• Migration from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 : A cluster of 2 Exchange servers is being tested … • Deployment of SMS 2003 SP1 inside DAPNIA since June – Used for the “hardware” Inventory only – ITMU (Inventory tools for Microsoft Update) to scan the patches DSM - DAPNIA / PM0902 3

• A cluster of 12 machines – Standards desktop • DELL GX 280 P 4 2.8 GHz • 1 gigabyte memory • Gigabit Ethernet • A disk array attached to an HP machine running Tru64 • AXUS Demon SA-16U4p-R • 1 terabyte • RAID 5 DSM - DAPNIA / PM0902 4

GRIF in Saclay

• Collaboration with the IN2P3 labs in Isle de France: – LAL – LPNHE – LLR – IPNO • Goal: build a unique LCG Tier2 • Try to keep some resources for local usage and EGEE project • Installation of 20 new machines (DELL GX 280) • Installation of 12 terabytes disk: – 2 Axus Demon SA-16U4p-R – 16 SATA disk 400 gigabytes in each black box – RAID 5 – 2 Tyan servers (dual Opteron, PCI-X, …) – Gigabit Ethernet • Tests with LUSTRE DSM - DAPNIA / PM0902 5
