Compliance
Why Compliance

This department operates with
integrity and seeks to be the model
for other Athletic Departments. As
such, we have a moral obligation to
follow the rules.
Likelihood of us getting caught
Only takes one disgruntled player or
parent to make a call to another school
or PSUAC
 Inadvertent admission on
Facebook

Do not say you are going to
practice if you are going to
play pick-up games at an open
gym. There is a difference!
Compliance
What happens if we commit violations?

A member institution that is found to have violated any provision of
the USCAA, PSUAC and/or NCAA Division III rules is subject to
sanctions:




Probation
Double Secret Probation
Loss of eligibility
Vacating wins/Championships
Reduction in games for the following season
Ban from post-season play in the PSUAC and/or USCAA

24.5.5: Requirements After the First Two Semesters



All student-athletes must complete 24 credit hours in the previous
academic school year
If you meet this requirement, you are eligible for both the fall and
spring of the new academic year
If you don’t you will have two scenarios to re-establish eligibility
 If you are planning to participate in the fall, you must take
summer courses to reach the 24 credit hour requirement
 If you are only planning to participate in the spring, you can use
the fall semester to re-establish eligibility by passing 24 credits
in the previous two semesters

softball also are playing non-traditional seasons), you must take
summer classes to earn four more credits to reach 24 by the start of
the fall 2012 term
 If you only plan to play in the spring 2013, you can use fall 2012 to
restore eligibility by completing a total of 24 credits between spring
2012 and fall 2012
Eligibility
