Career 4-Year University Central County Occupational Center is a vocational center providing career-technical education for students to help jump-start their career while earning 30 high school credits Classes are available in the morning OR the afternoon Transportation is provided for free to and from all high school campuses It is FREE to attend (some courses will require uniforms which students must purchase) CCOC offers 30 different career courses in the following categories: Automotive Technology Business/Computers Community Services Construction Health Services Industrial Technology Visual Arts Technical Schools Wyotech, UTI, Heald, Cogswell, DeVry, Art Institute, FIDM, etc. Attend 1+ years Receive training for a specific occupation – (i.e. auto mechanic, network associate, dental hygienist) Receive “certification” upon completion Many offer Associate and Bachelor degrees in specific majors • • • • No Summer School this coming summer due to budget cuts (except for Special Ed.) PLEASE help your students pass current classes!! Check in regularly with student and check on progress with school loop! May also make up credits with BYU online or UCCP.org …need approval of Counselor first…see counselor for more details. Can also later make up credits at a community college as an 11th or 12th grader.
