Knocking on the Door
“7: Ask, and it shall be given you; seek,
and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be
opened unto you:
8: For every one that asketh receiveth;
and he that seeketh findeth; and to him
that knocketh it shall be opened….
20: Behold, I stand at the door, and
knock: if any man hear my voice, and
open the door, I will come in to him,
and will sup with him, and he with me”
(Matt. 7; Rev. 3).
Knocking on the Door
“Door” stands for:
Opportunity (Rev. 3: 8; Matt. 25:
10).
Means of entrance (John 10: 9;
14: 6).
Knocking on the Door
Jesus is the door:
“9: I am the door: by me if any man
enter in, he shall be saved, and shall
go in and out, and find pasture” (John
10).
“6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by me” (John 14).
Knocking on the Door
Man is the offending party. As such, it is
up to man to return:
“19: To wit, that God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself, not
imputing their trespasses unto them; and
hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation.
20: Now then we are ambassadors for
Christ, as though God did beseech you by
us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye
reconciled to God” (2 Cor. 5: 19, 20).
