WEATHER – CLIMATE – WATER Isabelle Rüedi Programme Coordinator WWW Department WMO WMO World Weather Watch Programme World Weather Watch (WWW) Programme The World Weather Watch coordinates development, implementation and operation of observing systems, telecommunication facilities, and data-processing and forecasting centres - owned and run by Members - to make available meteorological and related geophysical observations and forecasts needed to provide efficient services in all countries. WMO/OMM WMO/OMM WMO Programme Structure World Weather Watch Programme World Climate Programme Atmospheric Research and Environment Programme Applications of Meteorology Programme Hydrology and Water Resources Programme Education and Training Programme Technical Co-operation Programme WMO/OMM The Global Observing System of the WWW comprises surface and space-based subsystems; data obtained are transmitted via the Global Telecommunication System to the Global DataProcessing & Forecasting System, where required information and products are produced and sent to the users.
