Martyrs of Lahore Friday Sermon Slides June 18th 2010 NOTE: Al Islam Team takes full responsibility for any errors or miscommunication in this Synopsis of the Friday Sermon Hudhur (aba) continued with brief biography about the martyrs of Lahore NOTE: Al Islam Team takes full responsibility for any errors or miscommunication in this Synopsis of the Friday Sermon He was descendent of 313 companions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and was martyred in Daruzikr at the age of 64 years. He was a Moosi. He was regular in Prayers, righteous and very hospitable. Hudhur (aba) said that he was destined for the honour of martyrdom and prayed that may Allah elevate his status. Ameen Abdul Rasheed Malik He usually offered Juma Prayers in Karak House but on the 28th of May he went to Daruzkir in accordance with the directive of Hadhrat Musleh Ma’ud (RA) that some Juma Salat should be offered in the main Mosque He was modest, kind, a loving father and an obedient person. Martyrs of Lahore He never worried that he did not have a son. He raised new Ahmadi girls like his own daughter. He had three daughters and treated them very well. His wife is steadfast on the Decree of Allah. June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore He worked hard to get permission for Salat centre and maintained a high standard for this Halqa Mohammad Rashid Hashmi He was Moosi and was martyred in Daruzikr. He was hit by 3 bullets. He was zealous for the services to the Jama’at and directed his family to do the same He was a descendent of the companions of the Promised Messiah ( on whom be peace.) His family house was burnt down in the unrest of 1974. He was sincere, dedicated, committed to the service of the Jama’at. He was brave, humble, organised and always spent his time doing Jama’at work. June 18th , 2010 He was martyred in Daruzikr Martyrs of Lahore Muzaffar Ahmed Shahid When he was injured, he kept reciting durud and Istighfar and directed others to do the same. He was descendent of the companion of the Promised Messiah ( on whom be peace). He and his family have served Jama’at in many capacities. He was regular in saying Salat and never missed Tahajjud prayers. He used to recite the Holy Quran after every Salat. He used to keep voluntary fast regularly. He demonstrated his dedication to the Khilafat by following Hudhur (aba) in saying the Centenary Pledge when shown on MTA. Hudhur (aba) said that Allah gave him the enviable end He was a kind person. He carried out his domestic responsibilities well and was kind to his sister. He was like a friend to his son in law. He would never lie. He always used to pray for the good end and that Allah Almighty gave him the honour of Shahadat. June 18th , 2010 He was kind, caring, affectionate and put his faith in Allah. His NonAhmadi landlady was most impressed with his morals and conduct. He was very good to his servants and treated them very well. He was a descendant of the 5,000 Mujahideen Meeyan Mubashar Ahmed His first business was looted during 1974 and he re-established a thriving business renowned for his honesty He made a great personal sacrifice, risking his life to carry out the duties for the Jama’at during the troubles in 1974. He would not do or listen to back-biting. Martyrs of Lahore He used to say, “I am mediocre, May Allah pass me with 33%.” Hudhur (aba) said that Allah passed him with 100%. June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore He was from Kharian and was orphaned at the age of 4. He was brought up by Meeyan Mubashar Ahmed sahib Fidah Husaain He was disabled with learning difficulties He was martyred at the age of 69 in Darukizr and had 35 bullets in his body. June 18th , 2010 He was dedicated to Khilafat and converted to Ahmadiyyat by the model family atmosphere of Ahmadi relatives. He was kind, regular in Salat, excellent administrator and did good training of his children. Khawar Ayub Hudhur (aba) said that Allah the Exalted gave him progress in righteousness and spirituality and prayed may Allah elevate his status. Ameen He was Moosi and served the Community in many capacities. Martyrs of Lahore He was hit by 2 bullets and martyred in Daruzikr June 18th , 2010 He would never say Alhamdulillah without his eyes getting wet. He used to look after poor, was regular in Tahajjud and very dedicated in calling people to Allah. He was kind, caring, simple and used to win prizes for his academic work. He was a son of the Darwesh of Qadian. Sheikh Mohammad Younas He was sitting in the fist row when he was martyred. He had strong faith. He used to put his trust in Allah. He saw in a dream that there a big ceremony in Rabwah and Khulafa are sitting on high beautiful chair where the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) has occupied the highest chair. He saw himself siting near them. Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 He was 33 years old. He and his family served the Community very actively. He helped to stop bleeding from the wounds of injured by making a pressure bandage of his vest. Masood Ahmed Bhatti The second terrorist fired multiple bullets at him when he most bravely managed to overpower one terrorists. He was sitting in Daruzikr after offering his Sunnah Salat. Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore He belonged to the family of the companions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace.) Haji Mohammad Akram Virk He and his family has served Jama’at in many capacities. He was martyred while sitting in the 4th row of Daruzikr for Juma prayers He was hardworking, kind to young and straight forward His father donated his house to the community in Pattokee which is Murabee House. June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore Mian Laiq Ahmed June 18th , 2010 A non-Ahmadi friend of him saw him in a dream saying I am very happy here and why don’t you come and join me Martyrs of Lahore He was the descendent of the companions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Mirza Shawwal Munir He never said no to any Jama’at duty. He travelled round Lahore on his motorbike at 11.30 at night to get Haqiqatul Wahee papers back in time He was only 19 years old and was an active member His younger brother tended to him when he was seriously injured He bled for a long time, showed great courage and was too weak to speak, His eyes looked happy that his brother has been saved Hudhur (aba) said that these young people have fulfilled their covenant to Allah and are a reminder to those left behind that they should not back down from their promises. June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore Malik Maqsood Ahmed He came from a family that held respectful worldly positions and were dedicated to the community. He was descendent of the companions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) and his family served Jama’at in many capacities He was martyred while praying in the main hall of Daruzikr by several bullets He was dedicated, regular in five daily prayers and Tahajjud Prayers. He was active in Tabligh and financial sacrifice. He regularly listened MTA for Friday sermon and other programmes and was an avid reader of the books of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) June 18th , 2010 He was a dedicated officer in the Air Force. He served in the wars of 1965 and 1971 and loaded bombs with his bare hands when the bomb loading machine broke down Even then, these so called Mullah call that Ahmadis are not loyal to Pakistan! He was always early for Juma prayers. On 28th of May directed many to the defence techniques and saving injured Chaudary Mohammad Ahmed He was trained in bomb-disposal and despite being seriously injured, tactically overpowered the terrorist, With others, he helped diffuse the suicide jacket of the bomber. He refused to go to basement for safety and chose to help others Before the incidence a female relative saw in a dream that there was firing in Lahore He was injured and had many wounds, but did not even express ‘hai’ during this ordeal Martyrs of Lahore Hudhur (aba) says that it seems that with all this firing his inner soldier has woken up. It appears that some special power was helping him to work with composure and bravery. He was hard working, kind, caring, keen player of Kabaddi ( a form of wrestling) and football. He was dedicated to Khilafat Martyrs of Lahore Ilyas Aslam Qureshi He came from a dedicated family and has served the community in many capacities He was hard working, jolly, kindhearted He was pleasant, most hospitable and never took offence to anything His advice to family was to be loyal to the Khilafat and community He did his best to close the door to resist the entry of terrorists in the hall and was martyred protecting others His family was instructed to wake him up if anybody came to visit him for Jama’at business June 18th , 2010 Tahir Mahmood He was shot 3 times and was martyred He expressed his wish to be a martyr many times He used to say Assalamualikum to all passer byes He went to Model town Mosque for the first time where he was martyred He was a well known, dedicated Ahmadi who used to say that he was not scared of bullets Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 He heard a voice, that We receive you with open arms on red carpet He was descendent of the companions of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). His family has dedicated their house for the service of Jama’at Syed Irshad Ali On 28th May, he did not feel very well and was in two minds about going to Juma prayers and said a goodbye which meant, I am now definitely going He heard a voice in a dream that Hadhrat Mirza Bashiruddin Din Mahmood Ahmed had arrived in a horse drawn carriage Martyrs of Lahore He was martyred with 3 bullets. He used to express regret that he could not serve Jama’at as well as his forefathers did He was kind, caring and jolly person. June 18th , 2010 Nurul Amin He and his family has served Jama’at in many capacities. He was descendent of the companions of the Promised Messiah ( on whom be peace) and martyrs of Ahmadiyyat He was in a position to escape at the time of attack on the Mosque but refused to leave his duty in Daruzikr and his injured brothers. He was worried about the training of his children, particularly Waqfe Nau children. He was very dedicated to the service of Jama’at Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 • He was 93 and was getting quite forgetful. He missed several Juma because of this He never lied • He took good care of his children. He hired his graduate son on a standard pay to read the books of the Promised Messiah ( on whom be peace) He read and encouraged his family to read the books of the Promised Messiah • On 28th May, he insisted on going to Juma despite family advise against it because of bad weather Chaudary Mohammad Mailk He was honest and truthful • He believed in training of children with prayers and never hit a child. He advised the same to his children regarding upbringing of their children. He enjoined all his family to do Wassiyat Hudhur (aba) said, everyone has to die but he achieved the status if martyrdom Martyrs of Lahore He served the displaced Ahmadis in a camp in 1974 for many months. June 11th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore Sajid Naim He had applied to be Moosi He was committed father and was worried about the marriage of his daughter. He helped his son with his job interview and with the grace of Allah son has got the job. He held on to the door of main hall during the atrocity, delaying the entry of the terrorist in order to save lives of many people who escaped to the basement. He was kind natured, obedient, caring and dedicated to Khilafat. A non-Ahmadi friend saw him in a dream where he was saying that I am not sure how I got here but I am happy here and very pleased June 18th , 2010 He was Moosi, soft spoken and generally quiet. However, he could talk for hours about Ahmadiyyat • He was hit by a bullet in his spine and was martyred He was dedicated to Ahmadiyyat and Khilafat. He looked after his children well and gave them higher education. He was kind hearted Syed Laiq Ahmed • He was committed to Juma and once left his poorly wife in Emergency Department of Hospital and went for Juma. Martyrs of Lahore He was the only earning member of his family He resisted the entry of terrorists to the Mosque by holding on to the door. When he could not open the door with force, the terrorist peppered door with bullets which went through Asghar Sahib’s back Mohammad Asghar Golar Munir He was dedicated and brought up his Ahmed children to be regular in Salat and Sheikh reciting of the Holy Qur’an with translation Hudhur (aba) said that Mullah has declared that Nikah ( marriage) has broken of those non-Ahmadis Muslim who have joined in his funeral prayers. He was regular in Tahajjud specially after Umrah in 2004 Martyrs of Lahore So is the state of the Mullah that let alone offer condolences, they declare marriages of those broken, who empathise with Ahmadis June 18th , 2010 Martyrs of Lahore Mubarak Ahmed Tahir He was Moosi and on the day of the atrocity she was shot while offering silent prayers with raised hands. He was kind hearted and friendly with all his colleagues and specially his subordinates. He has dedicated first floor of his house as Salat centre. He was hospitable and dedicated to the services of Jama’at. His son said that normally they used to be told off if they stayed out of house after Isha Salat but for Jama’at work, it was Ok to stay out even till 3 am Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 Anees Ahmed He was martyred while saying Salat. He led his father to safety and then helped others He was a caring man and helped an injured Ahmadi with his own blood transfusion and cash help He was obedient, hard working, loving family man and keen social worker. He treated his in laws like brothers Martyrs of Lahore June 18th , 2010 He has been terrorised by threatening posters outside his house Martyrs of Lahore Munawwar Ahmed He saw his mother in his dream who has passed away, She said to him that your room is ready and I am going to call you He was 30 He was the years of brother of age and Anees Ahmed has know Shaheed. about this Under the impending influence of He saw in a martyrdom. his grand dream, that He advised mother, he Hadhrat Ali (RA) his newly became a and Hadhrat wed wife Zakir for a Imam Hussain not to short period. Ameen June 18th , 2010 Saeed Ahmed He was loving, caring, affectionate. He regularly tended the needs of poor. He was pleasant and had many qualities He was a descendent of the companion of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) He arrived at Juma straight from work and the terrorist’s motorcycle parked outside the Mosque blew up He sustained major burns and was admitted to Hospital, where he achieved the status of martyrdom on 5th June Hudhur (aba) said that he will lead in his Janaza prayers He was 37 years and has prayed for martyrdom in his personal diaries and prayed for martyrs of Takht Hazara He was aware of the impending incidence and asked his sister for distribution of food to poor people Martyrs of Lahore Allah Almighty raise the status of all these martyrs • All these martyred had different qualities May Allah accept their prayers and their desires for their families. • May Allah enable families to bear this great loss with steadfastness and fortitude Hudhur (aba) prayed He was a Waqfe zindgi ( dedicated life for the service of Jama’at) and belonged to family of Darwesh Hudhur (aba) gave his personal testimony that he was very dutiful to his seniors. If officers did injustice to him, he never complaint and always had smile on his face He was pious, dedicated, hard working, steadfast, patient and caring Hudhur ( aba) commended his job as Afsar Jalsa Salana in 1991 and 2005. He carried out his duties most diligently. Hudhur (aba) gave the sad news of demise of Dr Mohammad Arif He passed away at the age of 53 and served the Jama’at in many capacities. He was pious, devout and loyal person. He prepared his wife to the time of his demise.
